Founded in 1977 Dudley Ramblers now has around 60 paid up members and caters for all ages and walking abilities. Initial membership fee is £12.50 thereafter £11.00 paid annually at the AGM in March, children 16 and under walking with fee paying parents are free. New walkers and occasional walkers may pay £1.50 per walk for casual membership for insurance purposes (third party only) collected by a committee member or the walk leader. Additional benefit in joining is a 15% discretionary discount with presentation of membership card at Cotswold Outdoor retailers (T&C apply) We meet at the car park to the right of the Magistrates Court, The Inhedge, (click for Map), Dudley, DY1 1RY for all rambles and depart at the time shown against the walk date. Cars are normally used to reach the start of the walk and drivers organise transport economically to provide transport for passengers. It is agreed that passengers pay 7½ pence a mile with no top limit but a minimum limit of £2.00.
Newcomers are always made welcome, just turn up at the meeting place. However, Lifts cannot be guaranteed..
During the winter There are occasional indoor meetings, details of which will be shown on the programme and website.
There is usually at least one weekend away per year
Walkers should wear walking boots or shoes, bring waterproof clothing and something to eat and drink.We regret that dogs are not allowed on walks even on a lead.
